Some more words

At the UdK (University of the Arts) in Berlin, I studied Industrial Design with a focus on process design under Prof. Hans N. Roericht, one of the great designers in the tradition of the Ulm school (Bauhaus). The permanent mental training of structured processes, from brainstorming to execution, was a very good prerequisite for my diverse activities as a designer in various industrial sectors. Due to this, I constantly have the user in mind. In that sense, empathy and agility are the two major learning experiences of my work. As a designer, I follow the principle of the American architect Louis Sullivan „form follows function“. As UX Designer I complete this sentence by adding „function follows the user“.

From 2015-2017, in my position as a Senior Associate Designer at EY (Ernst & Young Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft mbH Stuttgart), I was responsible for the supervision of digital projects in the field of Brand, Marketing & Communications.

Prior to this  I worked for the Germania airline Berlin as a communication designer in online marketing. At the online agency mediaworx Berlin AG, I was user interface designer from 2006-2013 and part of their creative team, where we successfully developed Websites and applications for clients like HRS, Postbank, DWS, Haspa, CosmosDirekt and Provincial insurance. During this period, I also gained experience as a lecturer in visual communication at the Qantm Institute for Game Design. My professional career as a designer began as a communication designer at the medical technology company Biotronik. Therefore my design work and experience cover a diverse spectrum of business sectors, ranging from financial services, eCommerce and health to tourism and business consulting. In my work, I mainly focus on the conception and project management of digital projects and services. Already during my studies, I employed creative tools and processes, such as „Design Thinking”. My in-depth experience and knowledge, therefore, enables me to easily employ these during design processes and product development.
